How Do You Find All the Factors of a Number?

Find all the factors of 60

Summary

  1. We can find factors of 60 by dividing it by whole numbers, like 1, 2, 3, 4, and so on
  2. Since we got a whole number when dividing 60 by 1, we know that 1 and 60 are factors!
  3. Dividing 60 by 7, 8, or 9 does NOT give us a whole number, so 7, 8, and 9 are NOT factors

Notes

    1. Other factors would be bigger than 10, but we already found all the factors bigger than 10 (they are the larger numbers in the factor pairs we found!)
